Dragging silicone wires through silicone tubes, as we do with the Spitfire MkIX throttle quadrant, is not easy as the friction causes the wire to stick. Craft wire like this is a good solution. A length of at least 60cm is needed. Aluminium has good strength for this.

Simple wire stripper

This is used to strip dupont cables. As these cables are not usually stripped, it turns out that these cheap wire strippers often work better than the expensive type. Just rotate the cutting blade around the wire anmd the insulation peals off well..

ATK707: Orientation Magnet

A red/blue magnet for detecting the orientation of unmarked silver cube magnets

The neodymium cube magnets have a north south orientation and you need to put them in correctly or the MagHall component won’t give a correct reading. This magnet is not part of the control but part of your toolset and is used to test the orientation of the cube magnets.

It doesn’t have to be coloured red/blue as long as the North and South pole are clearly marked.
